I was thinking about buying a 93 honda prelude and was wondering what are the goods and bads of these?

The car has only 1 problem it wont go into reverse anyone had this problem? or know if it an easy fix

 

I have a 93 Prelude w/ a H22A1. They are great cars... mine doesnt like to go into reverse but if you let up on the clutch and try it two or three times it will go in no problem. Should you buy? Depends on condition, mileage, price, and stuff like that. What is the rest of the car like? and what price? You could low ball him and tell him its bc of the reverse if it really doesnt work at all.

 

he asking currently 2500 car in great shape dent in side door (which is fixed but barely noticeable) its got body kit, exhaust, and intake. 169000 miles, 5 spd

 

Well, i am personally not a fan of body kits and altezza's, and universal exhausts. They have "RICE" written all over them. The price is kinda low for a VTEC. If thats what your into, go for it. My advice, stay away from all the ugly "show" crap and stick to performance.

 

wow-o... custom blinging... wheres the wheels y0? Btw, a new tranny will cost and arm and a leg if you cant do the labor yourself... thats your call....(i can do one in 5 hours or less... so, try 2 days for the swap.) But, as said.... eye of the beholder, each to his own... ETC...


But for $2500... if you like it at all, its worth that much anyday...

 

93 preludes have no cup holders. grrrrrrrrrrrrr. check out the engine @ a shop you trust or someone you know, b/c you don't wanted to be left w/ all his head aches. the body can be a piece, but the engine is the one that gets you from A to B.

 

Transmission can be replaced my me and my dad just wondering how much one would cost

 

i had the same problem with my h22 tranny too buti never got it looked at i just but my 23 tranny in there n kept puttin off havin the 22 looked at. i will eventually though bc i miss my lsd

as fas as buyin that car goes...i wouldnt buy a car thats already all done up like that, id rather go from stock n do wut i wanna do with it. i got lucky when i found mine bc preludes r pretty rare around here n the ones that r around r already riced out. but like every1 else says...its ur money do wut u wanna do but id be careful bc im sure that guy beat the **** outta that car

 

I can't find a good car for cheap i'm kinda on a budget around 2500 and under in the tn area and cant find nothing
