ok i have a 91 crx s1 with a b16a swap.. the car will not start. after working a few lil things out . the only code im throwing is code15 , i put a know working ignitor in the dizzy. nothing. still throwing 15 after trying to turn the car over 3 or 4 times.

i start checking voltage. . volts at the dizzy plug are good. and volts at A18 are good (around 10). then i check B15 and B17. which i should getting around 10 volts aswell and im getting like 17volts?? i look through the harness i did not see any cuts or splices in the visable areas of the wires..

. what should i do????

I would like to know also cause im having the same ******* problem, which is the only reason why i can't start the god damn car.

 

The voltage should always be 12v+
It should NEVER EVER spike to 17v+
And if it's 10v+ your battery is shot.

And you don't check for voltage on wires that provide signals to the ECU.
You check continuity. search google for the definition of continuity if you don't know it and also search for how to use a volt meter.

 

Hmm thanks for actually giving a opinion nikozai. It's somewhere around 15-17 i think which it def* shouldn't be.

 

Hey nikozai, what could cause it to spike to 17+ volts?.
