Default pedals

OK I know this is gonna sound like a newbie question, but i just got some tenzo pedals for my 2000 LX 2.3 auto and they are the most frustrating install I have ever dealt with. I am finding it almost impossible to get these things on. I've done a lot of engine work that has taken more time and required more knowledge, but nothing I have ever done has been this frustrating. Each pedal installs with 4 screws, nuts, and L brackets. If anyone could hook me up with a tip on installing these or inform me of an easier alternative I would appreciate it.
