Y7 throttle body on a Z6 intake manifold
im just wondering if this will work cause the Y7 intake manifold sucks, i got a bare intake manifold that a guy said was from a 92-95 civic vtec and it says p08 on the back. as for the iacv port on the back, im going to cap it off. also im wondering if my fuel rail will work on the IM since its a three bolt mounting pattern???

Why are you capping off the IACV port? You do know it controls the idle function right?

yes since the iacv on the y7 in on the throttle body and the z6 is on the mani you have to cap it off.. thats what i had to do.. i also had to modify my throttle body some so the throttle rotor and cable were at the right angle.. i used my y7 fuel rail but i had to drill new holes for mounting the rail.. also i had to cut the wire loom from parts of the harness so the injector wires would reach..
good luck.
good luck.
why would it search for idle? the y7 has the idle air control valve in the THROTTLE BODY.. the z6 has it in the manifold... you plug the holes in the manifold and use the y7 throttle body.. idle is fine..
i grinded some spots down so i could rotate the throttle rotor around so the angle on the throttle cable is alot better .. and i made a throttle cable bracket..

make sure the bracket for the throttle cable comes with the manifold because that y7 bracket isn't reusable, it's totally different.
