Default Need brake setup recommendations

I have an '85 crx( b16) with 88 integra rear disks and stock fronts. Is my best bet stickign with stock rotors and getting a nice set of pads? Or should I upgrade everything. I only autox maybe 2or3 times tops per year. Thanks.

keep stock rotors and get some good brake pads. use good brake fluid like motul 600 so you dont have brake fade. and you dont really need those disks in the rear but i guess the added weight from them doesnt really matter that much.

Agreed. Stock rotors, good pads, and good fluid are about all you need for a good brake setup. Also, make sure your master cylinder is in good working condition and you're not leaking fluid anywhere, of course.

Stainless brake lines can help give you a little firmer pedal and a bit better feel for "threshold braking" - keeping the brakes on the verge of lockup without actually locking them up.

I like Valvoline Heavy Duty brake fluid. Damn good stuff for the price. I used to use ATE SuperBlue Racing fluid (at about $20 a liter), but I've had just as good luck since switching to the Valvoline at $5 a quart. I'm also partial to Porterfield's R-4S pads, but I hear good things about Hawk and some other brands of performance brake pads.

And don't forget one of the most important parts of the brake system: TIRES! Any decent braking system is only as good as the tires it's stopping.
