it should work.... plug it in and try it out... if you dont like it dont buy it... i wouldnt buy any ecu over the internet either... could be total crap.. i dont trust no one over the net.. i would just drive to get it and try it out. for like 10 minutes. take the guy with you on a drive and get on it and ****...wait for any cel's or anything. if not u like it yeah shure get it
yah hes right... if the ecu is obdo you have to have the obdo harness or jumper same as obd1 and obd2 whatever harness you have on you car say you have obd2 and the ecu is obd1 you have to get a jumper harnes
checkout pgmfi.org for free and very capable engine management setups for OBD0. The R ECU is for a 1.8 not a 1.6 and the OBD's don't match which will require a jumper harness. Also, most of those cookie cutter "chips" suck. they dump a load of timing and fuel at your engine without regard for ambient factors of where you live, bolt on's you have or may add, mileage and general state of your engine, yadda yadda. Stay way. It will work but with the displacement difference and the way those chips generally run it will most likely make you run pig rich and lose power...for the low low price of a few hundred dollars for the ECU and jumper.
