msd coil and h22 internal coil question!

Default msd coil and h22 internal coil question!

ok... my stock dizzy **** the bed.. so i bought a new one that i thought had the internal coil built in (TD-61U ) but low and behold .. NOPE... so no i guess im just gona run an external coil to the dizzy... has anyone done this? i just need to know how to wire that bitch up can i just run the msd coil or do i need the full ignition? thanks guys!

what exactly did you mean..? did you mean by using the msd coil instead the stock coil?

If you look at page 9 and 10, they give you an idea when you remove the cap, where the internal coil is. You will have to remove it and then connecy your external coil to those 2 wires.

yep, thats what i mean.... i bought a new dizzy and i bought the wrong one... it doent have the internal coil in it... so i just want to hook up an MSD coil in its place i just needed to know if this is easy to do and if i need the whole ignition system or just the coil....

As Riptide said, look at pages 9 and 10 in the PDF file. You also need to remember that you'll need a new cap for that dizzy, that takes the extra HT lead that now goes to the external coil......

thanks man.. yeah i already have an external type dizzy cap... and i was looking at the diagram for that... i dont want to run the whole ignition setup.. just the coil.. so could i just run orange (+) to the black and yellow wire (+) on the dizzy and do the same for black (-) to the white/blue (-) wire on the dizzy... do i just wire those bitches right up and run it? someone told me something about using a resistor aswell? thanks man....
