I changed plugs & wires, fuel filter, cap & rotor, and ignition coils and my car still boggs/studders. It boggs/studders at 2500 rpm's. Please help!!! I want my car up and running smoothly.

More details... Does it bog when you give it too much gas or when you touch it slightly? In gear or out? Any cels? Then we could give you more help.

 

no CEL, car boggs/studders when gas is pushed lightly

 

id recheck the distributor since you did mess with the ignition coil, cap and rotor.

 

i didn't mess with it, acura was the one that did all of the install

 

hmm.. think the plugs could be improperly gapped?
I really dont know.. just trying to throw out ideas

 

could something with the fuel be the problem? fuel pump? injectors? fuel pressure? i just don't know

 

If they fucked it up, take it back to them and have them redo the cap and rotor. Sounds like they fucked up the electrical timing.

 

is it possible that acura fucked up something this simple?

I know I want to try running the Seafoam through my car to alleviate my problem that is similar to yours. My car wants to die with too much gas a low RPM'S. My problem however is my cat which is no longer good. So I am throwing a cel. But good luck! Start with the simple ****, then go from there. GOOD Luck!

 

Friend had similar problem, check the injectors

did your friend end up replacing his injectors? how much will new ones cost me if i end up replaceing them?

acura does mess up too, they left my tranny mount bolt out after they stripped the block! on my rsx. Also didnt put any bolts in the splash guards.

 

ok dude, so you brought the car to acura and told them to replace cap & rotor because you THOUGHT it would fix the problem..

why didn't you just ask them to FIX THE PROBLEM?

it's called proper maintance "DUDE" all the things that i had done, needed to be replaced. i also searched on bogging and studdering issues and the things that i replaced were recommended to be replaced. all i wanted to know is who else had this type of problem and i got my answer "DUDE"

 

Maybe a clogged/bad fuel filter?

the thing is the studdering happens in a blue moon, but the bogging happens when im at a decel when the gas is pushed very very lightly @ 2500rpm, i get a lot of gurgleling from my exhaust and when i push on the gas again the car boggs for about a half a second. should i be worried about my exhaust smelling like rotten eggs and it doesn't smell all the time like that.
