Icon2 I cleaned my iacv and fitv but....

my 93 civic lx is now idling fine. when i give it gas the car revs up fine but once i let off the gas the rpms basically drop and then a stall. unless i hit the gas real quick. i drove it and got to about 25-30 mph and tried to maintain speed but it just drops out and stalls.

Did you just clean them and it happened or before?

Did you go overboard cleaning the iacv with cleaner, did you let it dry out?

well when i bought the car the cel was on. i recently changed spark plugs. fuel pump fuel filter. ignition coil, and ignition module. wires were back about 7-8 months ago. as well as distributor cap. oil change is needed. i let the iacv sit for about 12-15 min before i put it back on.

before i cleaned the iacv and fitv the car would not stay on or idle. after i cleaned them my car now idles fine... but once i start driving and accelerate its ok then when i go to sustain a speed it fluctuates and drops down and stalls. oh one more thing.. when i rev it up past 3k its almost like it hits a rev limiter and bounces then stalls out.

Your car is in limp mode if it wont go past 3k. Make sure the sensors are plugged in. Pull the check engine code you have. Fix it. Wah Lah!
