About to swap engines in an LS...
I've done countless swaps on Preludes but not Integras. Anything I should look out? What type of trannies do the LS's have? I've only dealt with 3g & 4g ludes and their trannies.
This should be a direct swap so I'm just looking for pointers that are specific to Integras (or at least different from Ludes). I know my way around Hondas in general but again, most of my experience is w/ ludes...
Thanks in advance...

Nothing to it, really. Less of a pain than a swap in a prelude actually; way less of a pain than your H22 swap was. Only thing to really watch out for is OBD compatibility; really just switch over the intake manifold from dead engine to new engine. Also the thermosensor got moved on the B18B's vs. the B18A's.
....also, where are my Team Interlude stickers

As for the engines, it's a direct swap. The OBD's should be the same along with everything else. I was more wondering if the shifter type might be different or something like that.

I'm rebuilding a friend of a friends LS/VTEC for him (he busted a rod...a forged rod at that!).
Here's some pics and a quick run down.
New Block:

New Head (unused as I'm using his redone VTEC head):

More Head:

Empty Engine Bay:

New engine built on stand w/ old on floor:

Remnants of a busted axle boot:

Culprit of mess shown above:

I should be finished with rebuilding the engine tonight and at least have it installed tomorrow (might start tonight). I'm hoping to have it test-drivable by Thursday.
It was built with high compression pistons and forged rods. We're not going there this time though. He just wants a stock bottom end this time. He did have the head re-worked as it bent 4 valves when the rod busted and the piston hit them.
Somehow the rod managed to snap, sending the piston up, then the crank end must have hit the wall, popping it and busting it from around the crank and sending it into the oil pan. I'll take pics of the block later but the baffle has a hole in it so it went there too.
So it sent stuff up, down, and to the front of the block!
As far as differences, the shift rods was about the only one (the only big one at least). I didn't mess with that spring pin though. I unbolted the other end and pulled it with the engine!
