Engine noise Low rpm H22a
when my car is at idle between 1 and 3 it makes a lot of noise, like clanking,
sounds like from a belt somewhere but i have no clue it runs fine, when not at idle
but sometimes it will die at idle and it makes a lot of noise any help?

Have a friend or someone watch it with the hhod open while you mess with the gas pedal so you can try and pinpoint it a little more. And does it do this while driving?
when i rev up more the noise is quieter, but thats just because its going faster. i can rev up past vtec and it seems like the engine is running right ,but the idle is very poor and it makes like a loud clicking noise at around 1-3500 rpm when not moving, it not as loud of a noise when moving, but still can hear it fine at low rpm though.
the noise is 3-4 cam by the belts maybe timing belt slipped or something im stumped though.

clicking at idle means you need to get your valves adjusted.

My 4th gen did this about 2 weeks before my timing belt spun about 20 teeth in a row. If you love you're car, you'll do somthing about it. How many miles do you have? I was 185k on the original belt. I bought the car at 168k. Never assume, it makes an *** out of you.
