Does anyone have an idea?
As to why my 97 prelude's power door lock switch isnt working now!!?? I can still hear the relays clicking behind the dash but there is no action with the locks what so ever?? HEEEELLP
If you can hear the relays clicking, then the switch is OK, as all the switch does it trigger the relays, it sounds like you have at least one bad relay, they are wired like this....http://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#arp instead of pins 86 and 85 coming from an alarm, they come from the switch, both the wires coming from the door lock motors, [actuators] pin 30 of each relay are at ground when relay is at "rest" when you rock the switch up or down it will trigger one of the relays, pins 86 and 85 the relay that is triggered will "lift" the ground on the actuator wire and supply it with 12V+, the actuator runs in one direction, [lock or unlock depending on what relay is triggered] because the other relay is not triggered the actuator is still getting a ground, when you rock the switch the other way the other relay will trigger and the actuator will move the other way.
Even if the relay that is not triggered is the bad one, the door locks will not work, unfortunately the doorlock relays in your car, even though there are two of them, they are in one case, so you will have to replace both, but before you do that, you need to test the wires going into the relay pack, I am not sure of the wire colors in your car but there should be a 12V+ constant input, [always 12V+ no matter what you do with the switch's, probably white/ green] and a ground input, black, [the problem may be the ground], you can also check the other wires in the relay pack, two of them, maybe as many as six, will be from the doorlock switch's and if you have central locking two will come from the drivers door actuator switch, these wires will all test as ground when you rock the door lock switch's, what wire tests as ground will depend on what switch is being rocked which way, the other wires coming from the relay box are the ones that go to the actuators, three wires if you have priority drivers door unlocking, [ unlocks the drivers door on first click of remote] two if not, these wires will show ground when at rest but will go to 12V+ when you rock the door lock switch up or down, what wire goes to 12V+ will depend on which way switch is rocked

Wow thats alot.
Thanks for your help. With as much info that there is in that whole reply...I actually think I understand. My question now would be where exactly are the relays located?? And is there two relays for each door??

Follow the clicking sound behind the dash, there will be 2 or 3 relays, [3 if you have keyless entry with priority drivers door unlock] but they are all in one modual. not like the link diagram. You can try and open up the relay box and clean the relay contacts if that is the problem http://www.bcae1.com/relays.htm you can see what one looks like inside.
