How hard do you drive?
I'm asking cause I would wear a helmet on any track that I push 3/10ths or more.
If you have one then why not use it? Better safe then sorry- especially with two people in the car.

Well, I try to drive it pretty hard, but still on road tires, so nothing special. We are not used to wear helmets on these events, so nobody wears them.

Nice pics.

I know you guys may not be used to helmets at track days, but that scares the hell out of us in north america. I've seen some really wicked accidents even on street tires, caused by driver and car failure of some sort (like brakes or tyres).

I can imagine it would take some getting used to wearing a helmet, but you'll be glad you did should you ever smack a wall or have an incident causing your head to be whipped into something at high speeds. Are you all not required to have the windows down either?

I've always liked those front end too. I think I like them better than the JDM ones.

You can do almost anything on the track, windows down, roof down, drifting, any tires, any noise from exhaust etc.

You are probably right in this matter, but when somebody or some nation is used to something, it's hard for them to change. We Czech's don't wear helmets on tracks and you Americans tell me it's dangerous. On the other hand, you Americans eat hamburgers and chips all days long and I say it's even more dangerous and additionally, not even tasty . Germans are running 250kph on their higways without any helmets and I call it dangerous. It's a matter of view, but thanks for your care

Damn hamburger argument.

Understood. It's all meant as genuine concert for a fellow enthusiast and not 'we are better than you because xyz' or something like that.

actually its hamburgers and french fries, but chips are ok i guess.

Some of us make a conscience effort to make a change for the better. Like eating less red meat, wearing a helmet on track day etc..

Give it a whirl anyway, wear that helmet and be proud you have it on in the event something totaly shitty happens. Better to be safe then sorry.

I agree 100%....and as Chris already stated, its simply our concern for you. A huge to the american hamburger diet comment, its needs to be altered greatly by a large percentage of americans.

The comparison is one of apples to oranges. e.g. Do you race on the autobahn with a series of tight curves?

It's your life, but after going off track a few times and hitting my helmet in the car I have to say you should wear a helmet. Or maybe you're not pushing any harder than 3/10ths as Rob said... ? *shrug*

Safety first. Smoothness next. If you are smooth you will be fast.

Helmets aren't expensive items and having one on could prevent a serious injury

I don't really see the relationship with that and the hamburger argument
