Why isn't there a Scooter section? I know Honda Scooters are pretty popular for the Scooter crowd people. I personally want a Ruckus, but nevermind that. What's the deal with no Scooter forums?

Can we post about them here with getting strangled by the sport bike guys?

This is supposed to be a forum for all Honda Powersports...including ATVs and scooters.

I had a Yamaha Zuma for about a year, and I loved it. *shrug*

 

i wonder how many people on this board actually have a scooter. much less, how many people talk about the latest and greatest in scooter technology?

i think it's ok to talk about scooters in this section though..

I like the Ruckus, I'm getting one.
I've had mini-bikes before, and they were lots of fun, so this should be fun too. I hope at least, if not I'll start modding the **** out of it until it is fun.

That's highly debatable.

If the little Powersports in the description makes you think that then we should be talking about watercraft as well. It's called Motorcycles for a reason.

 

Hadn't really thought about until now, but that WOULD be fun to mod up and run around on sometimes. You know the old joke, though: How are fat girls and scooters alike? They're both fun to ride until a friend see you.

 

does anyone know if the ruckus is street legal in california? and do u need the m1 licesne for it? and registration?

I do some research for you if you're ready drop $2K on one.

 

The Ruckus really isn't the best scooter for practical purposes.

It looks really cool, but you can't lock anything up in it when you leave. Like a helmet.

My Zuma was great. I even rode it in the winter.

 

The guys in my area who ride scooters try way too hard IMO. They dress like the Mods from the whole ska era with pink overcoats in 100 deg weather. Anyone who puts that much effort into their image has to be gay. They all have motorcycle envy...just not man enough to ride one. And they always cop attitudes and never wave. F*$CK those Clay Aiken wannabes...

Why would you pay $2K for a Ruckus when you can pic up a Vino for like $1K?

 

All the new four stroke 50cc scooter engines are pretty weak. Yeah yeah, I know- I mean even as far as 50cc engines go. Any old jog or zuma will put a ruckus or metro to shame.

That's why you drop an engine from a 2-stroke 50cc from a NS50 or Aprilia. That would be a sweet scooter

 

The motor is the swingarm. You can make them just as fast as one of those tho.
