Default clank clank sound

hi all,
i am getting a clank clank when turning the steering wheel right to left pass center
when i press on the brake. its doesn't happen when i am not on the brake.
anyone experience this ? its a 98 accord ex sedan.

In my experience with that noise that problem should be the CV Axle is bad. Have the CV Axle replaced. The boot broke and you lost all the grease so thats why it is clicking now. Hope this helps.

have you taken the time to remove the wheels and chk things out?? ..like ny stated it could be cv joint but then it should be noisy on turns when you are not applying brakes as well .. ..just go and inspect things

its not the clicking u hear from a bad cv joint. i can hear the noise even when i am
in park position and turning the wheel with the brake pressed.
i looked at the cv joints, the boots are fine.

after going to a shop this morning,
they said it is the wheel bearings, both sides ...

should i change the hub at the same time. ?
i believe the hub is a dealer item

the wheel bearing???? mmmmmmm you hear noise from turning wheel standing still and they say it is wheel bearings ..i would have a second opinion that does not sound right to me ......is this a honda place or joe blow down the street ??

its a local joe blow..
he put the car on the lift.. and show me the play on the wheels..
12:00 and 6:00 o' clock their was movement ...
and 9:00 - 3:00 o'clock movement too.

make sure lugs nuts were tight and axle nut as well ???ball joints ok??
