The ecu would have to be modified to not look for an auto tranny.
(Auto to manual ecu conversion)

Im not to familiar with moding ecus. but from my understanding an auto can be converted to manual by either chipping it or changing a few jumpers, in general.

Im guessing ur asking about the one u want to buy from me. Personally i dont know if its just the chip that convered it or if the jumpers were changed as well. Its not to hard to change the jumpers though as long as u can sodder.

The only problem u'd get from running an auto ecu on a manual car is a CEL because the ecu will look for some sensor auto tranny have. & this ecu did not throw a CEL when put on my car.

converting from auto to manual involves removing two resitors and replacing one with a jumper wire. im not sure about the P08 ecus, but thats the case with P06,P28,etc
