Iv been reading on this forum for a while now of how your Rs get stolen easily. Can someone please explain me how can a thief bypass a motion sensor alarm. I know theres alarms that have two safety zones and as soon as theres motion close to the car ~ 5 feet the alarm goes off.
I can honestly see no way of how theifs can beat that.

Yeah but in order to cut the wire you have to create motion close to the car, which turns on the alarm, same with the trucks.

But unless you're basically sleeping next to your car/light sleeper within ear shot of your car, the tow truck/flatbed combo will always win out. You'd be surprised at the apathy of most people when they hear a car alarm go off in the middle of the night. Not everyone is a "car person".

You need to get in touch with reality.
Run up, smash window, reach in pop hood, cut battery. "Annoying" alarm is now done and you can go to town.

Yeah thats all true, but im saying if your car is parked in front of your house overnight, the damn LCD pager will start beeping if there is motion around the car, waking you up.
To me it seems theif proof, but of course if you go shopping and leave it at the mall theres more time for the thieves than the flatbed/tow truck thing would work, otherwise I dont see a way from them stealing it/disarming the alarm before it goes off.

I don't know the truth to this or whatever, Im not stating it as fact, but I've heard of people using tazers or car batteries to shock the car chassis to short out the whole car including alarm. Then just tows it away.
