In the past I have had the 4WS light come on. Last two days though, the light has been on and even after several hours, when i start it up its there. Where would be the best place to look for a 93+ 4WS ecu? already checked ebay.

 

btw, i searched and cant find how to reset the 4ws ecu by turning the steering wheel. I know theres a particular sequence to it. Also, even with the 4ws fuse pulled out, the light is on. Is this right?

 

don't go for a new one, check the codes and see what it's trying to tell you. after that search these here forums and look for the 4ws repair thread... very helpful for many people.. hopefully i won't need it once my car is done (motor swap) but if i do need it, it'll probbaly help me

 

Well, you know since you have 4ws. I always wondered what was the difference if you do have it? Like does it really help or, I was just wondering what it was all about.

 

yes it does help a lot. the 92 models have electrical issues with the ecu though.

 

i used to have a 93 4ws and it is FAQ that the 4ws craps out in everyone overtime because they have weak soldering in 2 relays, but lucky you there is a solution... https://honda-tech.com/zeropost?cmd=tshow&id=886363 <----- read that and do that and it will work forever again. those relays have bad connections. AND READ THE FAQ BEFORE YOU POST!!!

 

i have read that thread, the problem is mainly isolated to 92 models. My concern was that AndyD did it and the problem came back. Thats why i wanted to get another 4ws ecu. Regardless, the back seat is coming out this weekand to try that fix.

 

well he probably had another problem because look how many people did it and it worked... probably like 40 and 1 didnt look at the ratio man
