Not true. I spoke with a St. Paul cop the other day, and he was telling me about the unmarked cars, and how virtually all of the undercover units on the force are seizures.

Maybe your state has different laws?

Maybe they're out catching people raping girls instead of cars.

Its just a car, you know the risks, and many of the thefts with just "alarms" or an autolock I wouldnt consider a rape as much as a free ITR giveaway.

I wouldnt rag on the police because they get stolen, its not their job to protect your car. And I dont think that one getting stolen would upset them that much if this dumb story actually turned out to be true, because it was a seized caR, its not like they actually invested a whole lot into it besides a little bit of taxpayer money.

Yea...I know the risks, but it doesn't mean that I have to give in and let the thieves have their way. I'm sure everyone would agree that thieves should all get a dose of the South African anti-theft system. But at the same token, if a tad bit more effort was put into catching these thieves than pulling someone over with a aftermarket license plate cover ( $116 fine and 3 points off your license where I'm at ) or some other garbage.....then it wouldn't be so bad.

 

i know some where in Ca, there was a lambo seized froma drug trafficing group or something and now the police cheif rides around in it.

 

in our neck of the woods theres a cadilac cts with race checker decals that busts the fullerton races. and in la habra they have ss camaros scoping the highway.
