right now i got a stock acura deck cd/cassette with an alpine 6-cd changer in the trunk.. thinking of getting a deck but I want to know what's the advantage of one? besides looking cool.

 

trust me it sounds a lot better to depending on which deck you get. alpine and pioneer are some good ones. I got a pioneer one blew out my stock speakers bc my car was old (94). no w/ aftermarket speakers it is so much better.

 

so basically it just sounds better? even with stock speakers?

 

yes it will a bit better with stock speakers. but to get the best clarity out of your is to get some decent speakers.

 

more power
able to change more settings than just bass/treble/fade

Even with stock speakers I think a new headunit makes a big difference
