Default Can't get my Profec B Spec II to boost over 17 psi (greddy kit)

relevent facts:

z6
greddy kit (19t ~5.5 psi on stock wastegate with a drag IC, measured at the IM)
profec b spec 2
neptune

settings:
low boost:
set 48%
gain 35%
set gain 130

this setting is great, it holds 15psi (@ 6200ft) solid.

when i try to dail in the high boost setting it will not go over ~17 psi.
high boost settings:
set 100%
gain 30%
set gain 175

i did alittle research but couldnt find anything on it.
any help or suggestions would be great.

if any other questions need answered, let me know (i always forget a small bit of info that is crucial)

thanks in advance

I remember reading the boost controller can only double the psi of the wastegate spring rate. Is your wastegate spring 8.5 psi??

it is the stock wastegate spring
it is about 5.5 after the IC, when measured at the IM

i believe that neptune seeing 12psi absolute, so that would make it ~ double the stock wastegate spring.

can anyone else confirm this?
has anyone ever pushed over double the boost with a spec 2?

is there any other springs that i can get for the greddy wastegate?

Unfortunately I'm in the same position you are...only with a b series kit.

I ordered a new actuator from Greddy that is a minimum of 11psi. Only problem is that it doesn't even come close to bolting up. I'm thinking of cutting a new flange and having it tack welded to the actuator so it'll bolt up. Then I have to bend the rod and re thread it because the hole that attaches to the flapper is way off. Damn these universal actuators!!!

I'm hitting 16.5psi and dropping off.

wow.
that sounds like alot more work then its worth.

i think i will have to get a new boost controller.

does anyone know of a way to get the profec b spec 2 to boost more then double the stock wastegate?
is there anything i can do to get the stock wastegates boost level up from 5.5 to ~9-10psi?

im tryin to get back on the dyno, tomorrow. any help would be great!
thanks in advance.

is this an 18g you are talking about? I don't think it can boost more then 17PSI anyway. Even if you could, it would blow onl hot air anyway so what's the point . Not raggin on the 18g, but I think you maxxed it out

i think he said it was the 19t for the d series. and even so i dont think that it has too much more left in it than 17psi.

and one way to make the stock actuator boost more is to shorten the actuator arm . take the actuator arm off the flapper. loosen the nut and shorten the rod then put it back together.

according to the compressor maps, it should be good to ~21-22psi
plus 17 is what im seeing on the guage, im only running 12 psi absolute.

ill try the arm trick and get back.

thanks

i took my actuator arm off.
i twisted it all the way in (i twisted it clockwise with the actuator facing down)

now the guage shows ~11 psi (6000ft altitude) with no boost controller :0

as soon as my motor cool off, ill go hook up the EBC and try it out.

thanks
