at a stop light. the weather is 106 deg. smoke coming from hood. Pop hood, oil coming out of top vent of tranny. also oil is leaking from flywheel plate.
two causes
-main seal
-some transmission oil displacing from heat

bump 2. Help no one has good coverage of why oil is coming out of the big grill lookin vent. lost of oil is under my car now.......shyt

 

Bump. I also have a slight bit of oil coming out of the vent at the top of my tranny. Hoping its not the main seal.

 

heres what i heard.. if it comes out the vent it is a seal the input shaft seal. if your engine oil decreases its the main. its one of those things you have to take apart to really know. mine is the input shaft seal because the engine oil is the same level and there was a ton of oil that i was losing.

 

Oh alright, im thinking thats its my input shaft seal becuase im loosing no motor oil. I would rather have my input shaft seal leak then my main seal.
