Default shift linkage removal

iam removing the shift linkage from the tranny, its a 97 integra LS, there is a little pin holding it, tried to knock it out, that didnt work it wont move, anyone know how to take it off

They don't call it a bitch pin for no reason. You just have to wack at it until it comes out. I believe you can use an 8mm punch.

I used the extension of a 1/4 ratchet. Worked nicely.

the way i do it is with a impact hammer and a air compressor. Other than that, be prepared to have sore forearms until you can get the car jacked up high enough to get a real swing at it. you need to give yourself enough space.

either use a hammer and an extension like he said or.....jack up the car and put some 2x4's under it with the extension on top of them and lower the car onto the extension, its like hitting it with a hammer that weighs as much as the car. worked like a charm for me.
