Default Radiator problems

Hey people, i am new to this site, but i got on to get some help i have a 88 crx si with a 99 D16Y7. Right now i am having some problems with it. My radiator is over heating. I have no fan no over flow tank just the radiator. When i move idle, it gets hot. Every so often i have to fill it back up. I need some help asap cuz this is the car for every day use. Please Help.

You need an overflow bottle since the radiator cap will release coolant into the bottle which will be syphoned back into the radiator as the temp cools. If you don't have a bottle it will spill the coolant out into the environment and not be able to recover it. This is why you keep having to fill it up. Also hook up a fan. That will help with overheating. The only other suggestion is to flush the coolant and make sure the thermostat is opening properly.

Well i just put an over flow tank on it so i am getting all the over flow. But Even when I am moving it over heats, when ur moving shouldnt it act as a fan??

Yes you are correct. It was a little unclear from your original post whether you were moving or not. I would check the thermostat and then the waterpump.

And where are those located at your gonna have to help me here. And also how do i know if my pump and thermostat is working it shows the temp in my car, so does that mean it is working??
