It is very hard to get a hotshot header to stop leaking, have you tightened the bolts as much as they can go? Or put a 2x4 on a jack and lift the header very carefuly so you dont damage it and try to close the gap between the 2 peaces and retighten the bolts.

The header makes great power imo but the design is very poor. The way we got the header on with no leaks was to put the top and bottom half together with longer bolts so that the 2 peaces are together just enough allowing the header to go on the head with out hitting the oil pan, then tighten the bolts as much as possible so you can fit the original bolts on there and tighten them ( use the 2x4 and jack method to allow the peaces to slide together). Tighten the bolts evenly otherwise the header will not go together correctly and will still leak.

Well if you can get the 2 peaces together enough to be able to take it of and put it back on the car and still have ground clearence go for it and weld it otherwise I would not recommend that.
