Default Is this a decent deal?

I drive a turbo LS, so my girl obviously got into cars.

So she took out a loan and is looking to buy a type S.

the used ones are the only ones in her price range, we found one with 44,000 miles on it, at an Acura dealership, MINT condition, nothing wrong with it at all, I test drove it, it was great, checked out everything. It's fully loaded I believe...

We talked the guy down to $18350 for the car. Now I've seen some cheaper ones online, but this is one is 10 minutes down the road.

It comes with a 10 year 100,000 mile warrany even though its used, I figured this would make up for the price of the car, how does it sound?

No, I think it's a bit too much for one with over 40000 miles.. btw, what year is it? The price range you should be looking at around $ 16000, but it all depends on where you live and stuff. For that price (18000+) I can get a decent s2k with around 40-50k miles... did you check any online references like kbb, edmunds, car.com, autotraders.com, and the all new vehix.com .. good luck..

I looked at and drove a 2002 SSM Type-S w/ ~40,000 miles on it at an Acura dealership a few months ago and they wanted 18,000 for it. The salesman was trying to talk me into buying it then (I was just looking and getting a feel for it) and even mentiond dropping a grand off the price... so yea I would say it is too much.... kbb.com came up with $18,725 but that seems high.

I would say talk them down some more or look elsewhere. It might be worth the drive a little farther down the road to save a few hundered or a thousand.

That is only a good price if it inlcudes tax and title.

That car should only be around 17k at most. I got my 02 type-s with only 38k miles for 16500 with the warranty.

Yeah it has a salvage title, but never been in an accident it was a theft recovery car. Its an 03 type-s with full black leather interior. The only thing thats wrong with it is the power steering pump bubbles adn the front bumper needs to be painted. I'll try to find pics for you .
