Default LS/Vtec which block someone experiened help...

Okay I want to build a LS/Vtec has a spare motor then drop it into my car.
I have 2 blocks available 1 is a 92 Ls motor with a spun bearing and 1 is a running 91 motor with 165k.

I plan to use new PR3 pistons and rings but don't wanna spend a ton in the block.

Which block is better to build?
Should I just look for a lower milage motor?

either one but the second probably is gonna need some oversized piston becuase of the mileage

Really my main question is this with a spun bearing i've been told it'll never be has reliable again is this true?

On the running engine what needs to be done to basically make it reliable to rev to 8k?

Is the stock crank fine with those kinda miles?

I will have a gen1 b16 head with Type R cams for the time being for the top.

If the block with the spun bearing has any scratches large enough for you to feel with your finger-tips, then it's no good. Most of the time when a block has had a spun bearing, the crank also gets messed up. Take your blocks to a machine shope and ask them to inspect them for you. Just run the better block...do it right the first time and no head-ache the second time

Yeah i'm thinking about useing the running engine I have after looking at my old block its all rusted in the shed.

What needs to be done to the running block?

It has a 165k and is complete and ran fine.

Would I be able to have a nice reliable daily driver with just ARP rod bolts,PR3 pistons and rings a golden eagle kit and my gen1 b16 head?

What should I do about the crank and rods??

Can I anybody help me out I wanna get the block started soon. Just tell me the best route to go with the 165k motor. If I can't use PR3's because OF THE MILAGE should I get oversized pistons OR what piston should I get?

Should I replace the crank, rods etc???

somebody help a newb out I just wanna have all the parts together and have it done all at 1 time and be ready to slap on the b16 head. I wanna use my PR3 ECU and pretty much nothing for tuning right away so I don't want crazy compression numbers.
