Will this fit without modifying anything? Also, what are the differences between the two? Will there be any noticable gains at all? Searched for awhile but, didn't find anything about any gains from adding the type r header. thanks.

See I read that in one post but, the next post I read says you do unless you have a 2000-2001 GSR. Any ideas on that? Weren't the 00-01 exhausts alittle different? I'm not completely sure of all changes made throughout the different years.

 

Dino (comptechgsr) is wrong. It will fit. No modifications necessary.

Trust me (I own a '00 GS-R).

 

yeup it'll fit. all 00-01 GSR's have the same cat length and b-pipe length as all ITR's and LS/GS/RS.

 

of course it will fit....its on my car. gains is not much about 5hp

 

Will it fit on my '95 LS w/ b16a top n b18c bottom?

 

the primaries will bolt up to your head, but dont count on the collector fitting up w/ your cat, you're going to either

A. go to a muffler shop and have them make you a connector piece w/ flanges ( $$ )

B. Have someone weld it ( muffler shops can do this.....but charge )

 

Someone brought this up re to the ITR exhaust matching up. Why does it have no prob if you have an LS cat bolting to a ITR cat-back muffler but headers don't match up? Any other suggestions? much appreciations

97-01 Type R header on 00-01 GSR will bolt right on, same size and length Will also Fit, 94-01 LS, RS, or GS

 

the us itr headers will fit, the jdm 4-1 itr headers need a special 2.5 inch collector flaunge to fit the cat. So yes AND no. Depends on which u wanna get, the jdm itr will give more power, the usdm itr is a good substitute for stock.

 

What's the difference between the stock GS-R and ITR header?

 

Stock GSR's don't have a header, just a cast iron manifold.

 

Does any one want to buy and USDM ITR header?

 

They both have a cast iron upper section. It is the A-pipe which is different. Here is a diagram which shows the difference.

 

exhaust manifold=header.

 

It will be a direct bolt on without any modifications.
All Type R. 2000-01 gsrs, and 94-01 non vtecs are all the same size.

does anybody have pics of their car w/ the "R" header bolted up to the stock GS-R cat on the 94-99 models in which you are supposed to modify inorder for it to fit...would like to see what needs to be modified??? also where did you guys purchase this USDM type r header from and how much did it cost?

any info. or help would be much appreciated.
