thanks 4 the info peeps. yes I do have 2 bov's. its because if u run big boost u definatly want the extra air to leave your pipes between throttle. u dont want it going back to the turbo. I want to run big boost and make my CRX all race (plus I cant afford that turbonetics Godzilla one. that would do trick for any amount of lb's) so when i put my set up together i just got 2. thats also why i need fiberglass
its funny though. I thought it wouldnt be very loud at low boost(10lbs) but it surprisingly is.
anybody else with more fiberglass info let me know

thanks guys. the goal is to get it right at about 1,910lbs something like that. but thats with me a motor and a 8pt cage. the car is shell right now. nothing in it. but I have an si so i'm trying to be smart about wieght reduction. I heard that gutted doors+lexan is almost as light as fiberglass. what do ya think? and any ideas besides cutting everthing like i'm doing let me know. secrets and *****..
Is it a drag car? or road race/autocross? or what?
Fiberglass doors would definitely be lighter than gutted doors.
Cutting is ok, but how much you cut out is going to depend on what you are going to do with the car
Did you get rid of that sound deadner on the floor already?

it gonna be drag. sound deadener is out on fri. still gotta get my lexan. eveything is out. just frame& suspension, taillights, master cylinder, steerinwheel(+all the way to the rack), pedals...thats about all thats in there. took out entire fuel system too. that was some extra weight. oh ya know anybody selling a used or new(but cheap 1gallon fuel cell. another thing I need.
Lexan is pretty expensive. So make sure you know exactly how much you are going to need.
Here's a tip, use dry ice on the sound deadner. then tap it with a hammer. it'll come off in chunks. Don't use a torch, it'll just end up being a huge mess.
Either that, or you can cut out the entire floorboard and weld on a replacement out of sheet metal...but that will take some time, and may not be permitted in whatever class you are planning on running this car in. Read the rules first.

ya i'm definately cutting out the whole spare tire area. and i'm contemplating the area above the gas tank. guy do that over her but i wonder how much of a weight saver that really is. the just tack thin sheet metal over it. the guy from Signal, the 89Crx and 96hatch. they cut the back half of the wheel well out. I dont know how they get away with that. as far a windows what do U think is the most inexpensive way to go? i wanted quality too. FAL?let me know if anything..
