Default Brake Job

I've gotta replace my front rotors/pads anybody have any suggestions on what I should get? I was thinking of drilled or slotted rotors because I might run at a road track next year. Or should I just run regular pads and stick with brembo blanks for street use?

Based on what you said you should read more and search more, I think you are not yet ready on what makes the car stop fast and what is just for show.

Here is a simple summary:

1. On Integra or most modern car, cross drill rotor don't do much other than the bling, slotted rotor help only on very high temp and highly faded situation. Many do well on a good blank rotor like brembo.

2. Tires makes a huge difference, when your brake is working up to a certain point, it lock up your wheel, then it is the tires that do the stopping

3. Surface area matters, if you are really really into high performance braking, invest in a big brake kit or do an ITR / Legend / Accord / Prelude / NSX oem kit that is cheap and make huge differences. It works better than the crossdrilled / slotted rotor of smaller sizes.

4. Racing pad needs to heat up to a certain temp before it works well, street pads does not need to but they won't have the same high temp performance. A high performance street pad like Axxis/PBR ultimate will be a good start and good compromise on both.

5. Wash your wheel frequently due to the brake dust that comes with good braking power (unless you use OEM pads on big brake kits, then don't worry about dust).

Thx but I was well aware of all those facts. I'm simply stating that I'm wondering what peoples opinions are on if upgrading to a drilled or slotted rotor with hi perf pads is worth it. I don't plan on a big brake kit or ss brake lines. I've experience brake fade before and wasn't a big fan of it so I figured it wouldn't be as much as an issue with a vented rotor. Anyway I think I've just decided to go with blanks and decent pads anyway. I'm saving my money for FI. Thx for the reply.
