Gas/Clutch Pedal feels weird...need help please.
I think something's wrong with my gas and clutch pedal.
When I press on either of those two pedals, there seems to be about 3/4" empty push at the beginning.
The gas pedal for example. If I press on it about 3/4" there's no reving or anything...but then after the 3/4" of this "empty push" the RPM's go up. Anyone understand what I'm trying to say?
The clutch does the samething.
I don't think this is normal because my friend's Si has no such "empty push".
Anyone have this problem??

the gas pedal..check your throttle cable. the nut might have come loose. same thing happened to me except there was no push whatsoever
thanx...except....where is the throttle cable located? I guess this only applies to the gas pedal and not the clutch?
youre clutch might be going out. throttle cable is on the left? side or top of intake manifold....cant really remember exactly. its like a cable w/ a nut on it..the nut should be all the way at the top.
Ah, now I know what you mean, I've seen some dude pulling on it after installing an intake.
How long does a clutch usually last? Mine has about 58k on them.

Clutch can go out at any time depending on driving. Have you had your car since it was brand new? I have 85K on my original clutch and it's still goin strong, but I used to wrok at Acura and this kid brought his GSR in one day and his clutch was gone, completely. He only had 13,XXX miles so it all depends on driving.
ah, thanx for the tip.
And no, I'm the second owner and I only put 15k on it. I occasionally redline it to third once in a while, but that's very rare, and I drive very carefully shifting at 3~4k.
