eg/eh/ek/ej
ok, i honestly dont know the difference between these letters. ive kinda started figuring it out but the more i see it the more i confuse myself
my understanding
eg 92- 95 civic
ek- 96-00
ej ???
eh???
the reason i ask, is because i see people with 92-95 that are saying like, eh2 and things like that. i would just like some help clearing this up. thanks

The general chassis term used for 92-95 Civics is EG and 96-00 Civics is EK. They are called that because in Japan, the chassis codes are EG4, EG6, & EG9 for 92-95 bodies Civics, and EK3, EK4, & EK9 for 96-00 bodied Civics.
However, in the US, we didn't get any EG designation except the EG8 (EG Sedan) or EG1/EG2 (Del Sols). The chassis codes we got for the 92-95 bodied Civics in the US we got were EH2 (CX, VX, DX hatches), EH3 (Si hatch), and EJ1/EJ2 (EG coupe). The chassis codes we got for the 96-00 bodied Civics in the US were EJ6 (CX, DX, LX), EJ7 (HX), and EJ8 (EX).

Dont you get tired of people calling there cars EK's when there not made in japan and really made in the US.It pisses me off or at least makes me think in my head what a nub.If you like the letters E and K then good but dont use it if you dont have it!I could see if you do a complete coversion but the fact of the matter is that it will never be a straight up off the line j spec so unless you replace the chasis and every other part on the car I would say dont call it a EK. EJ6 here and proud of it.If your a oreo with no filling just admit it dont try to be like Im a double stuff EK oreo made in japan when your just a plain oreo with filling from japan
