I heard that the new rsx type-s is goin to have less hp then the 05 type-s. Is this true?

 

I haven't heard much of anything about the 06 Type-S, but I don't see how it would make sense.

why would they improve it from 200 to about 210 was it? then to 201? How would they even rate it at 201...1 more hp, hell no...ahah

haha funny thing is he isnt. i work and honda/acura and we just got the spec sheets for the 06 models. new no more satin silver(replaced with a dif. color silver) and it 201hp and yes my eyes arnt going and i looked more then once haha

 

I see this all over clubrsx.com. I think it is true now. The new 06 only has 201hp and 140tq. This is great for me, cuz i have an 05, which will makes my car value got up more, since it has the most hp of the rsx series.

i just called 3 acura dealers..because im planning on buying an 06 (already put a deposit on one) and all said "201hp, 140 lbs of tq" but all were confused, thinking it might be a misprint, because 201hp is a strange number..


EDIT: actually, i just read on clubrsx.com that 201 is correct.. however the 06 motor is exactly the same as the 05...its just that honda aparently adapted a new system of testing their motors for HP and TQ

I dont think Acura would allow a brochure or spec sheet out for the public/dealers if there were misprints in it. But hey you never know, does it make sense not really......but can anyone post a copy of this spec sheet or brochure? Also have the prices gone down, they better if HP goes down.

but honestly the reason why 02-04 is hotter is b/c of the engine. you dont see any k20az swap into eg threads, but instead you see k20a and k20a2 swaps. so yes we own all

also the exhaust is better on the 05(well who cars since ur gonna upgrade anyway)
type r cams(very easy and cheap 2 get)
and other things are all subjective, and can go either way

It really doesnt matter about 9 hp difference from the factory what matters is the driver and mods. I am going to have to say the 02-04 are still the best.

if we wanted to build our cars that are rediculously fast, we would have done so. NA or turbo.

 

gotta remember Type R final drive pwnz j00!!!
