B16 Help Please!!!
I recently did a B16 SiRII swap into my EG, and it was saying that I had a bad TPS, which is really common in the swaps. However, when I switched out the TPS with a the good one from my old engine, the started to idle at 3000rpm. Then eventually after killing it, and restarting it a few times, it started to get where it wouldn't idle at all. Checked all the sensors, all are plugged in, all vaccuum lines are attached too. Anyone have any tips or things I need to check???
I reset the ecu, and now it idles at 3000rpm, but when I give it gas, it the rpms just drop and it doesn't idle again, it just chokes off. And if I give it gas, it isn't responsive. It's like it's a delayed throttle response. Any other ideas?
is the car at normal operating temp when is stalls out? cause if its cold then you should take the valve off at the back of the manifold and clean it out, coolant runs through it and it controls the cold idle

I had a funky idle problem in my car when I did a B18B swap a while back....turned out to be a bad fuel pump control circuit in teh ECU itself. Hope that isn't your problem.
Okay, I'm using the ecu that came with the motor from HMotors. I know it's the right ecu. I've been running it with the engine the whole time with no problems, but it was throwing the TPS code.
I swapped out the TPS and I was told that you could just use a known good. I wasn't told that you had to adjust it. How do I do that?
Also, if anyone is in the San Diego County/Vista area, you're more than welcome to come and take a look at it with me, or if you know anyone that you can refer me to, that'd be great too.
