Default I Give up

Its over.

My automatic CRX starts up, runs on 2-3 Cylinders, and its throwing a code 4 for crank angle sensor *white and orange wires going to the dizzy.

I directly ran 4 wires from C1, C2, B10, and B12 directly to the blue/green, blue/yellow, orange, and white wires in that order.

I've checked it over 10 times, I cant even get some of the wires back in anymore into the plugs. My fingers/thumbs are going to fall off.

Anyone wanna buy 2 crx shells and a lot of crx parts??? Because i'm ******* done with it and I really am not in the mood to tow the POS to my Honda guy.

excuse me while i go get ready to work at Wendys

wow... calm down and step away from the crx. why didn't you get a new dizzy for the crank angle sensor? that would have been easier than what ever the hell you are trying to do with hard-wiring the dizzy. or are you talking about wiring something else

I tried two working Dizzys, that shouldnt be the problem and if it is, im probly gonna find the first person I see and "steven seagal clothesline" them to the neck.

I can't imagine faulty wiring would blow the dizzy, but if thats the case I owe my brother a new one as well as myself and ugh thats alot of $.

Is it possible to change the sensor inside the dizzzy or is it all or nothing?

It wouldn't. We've screwed up wiring for distributors plenty of times.

There's always something to check.

Make sure that the problem is what you say it is.

Try another ECU.

Check grounds.

Don't give up over something like this. Don't let it beat you. If anything, make a post and offer to buy someone lunch to come help you with it.

This kinda **** is always something stupid and since I'm the one working on it I can't pinpoint it and I've been pretty much help-less at this point, my bro has a crx and he hasnt even tryed, and my friend doesnt know it either/ I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to going to shops, I only trust one guy, but he had no advice for me, it was kind of insulting since I know him and I duno if bringing the car to him is a good idea. I'd like to beat this **** and say I did it but after 3 days of trying I'm starting to lose faith.

I'm gonna clean everything up tommorow, along with my brain, and re-evaluate the situation

Don't give up. My CRX...OBD-0 sat in my garage for over a month as I tried to install a OBD-1 ZC...I've done easier things. I can handle bolts, welding, body work, almost anything...wiring always seems to get the best of me.....thank God for my uncle who helped out. I drove the car for a year then gave it to my wife who drove it for a year...then sold it to a food delivery guy who is still driving it....don't give up it will be SOOO worth it when you are done!

are you sure the 2 dizzys taht you tried where good, code four is common when the bearing in the dizzy goes bad and it heats up and sets off the sensors... I need a new dizzy in mine and i just replaced it last year, but with another used one... I know new ones are expensive but they are sometimes worth it...

both dizzys are fairly new re-manufactured ones but I'm sure there good, they both came off of working cars so unless whatever I did messed them up they should work.

welp a little update as of today, 10 minutes before I had to go to work today I decided to wire in a new plug for the dizzy I just got at the junkyard, and wired up the mpfi again and it fired up, no codes , i could rev the car, it was an amazing feeling, clutch/throttle all worked, shifted, so my auto=>5speed swap is a success officially and I'm one happy character. I hope to put most of it together tommorow, ill try to get some pics up of the work
