tig welding aluminized steel

Default tig welding aluminized steel

can you sand off the aluminized coating and just use mild rod and tig weld this stuff togeather friend wants an exaust and dosent want to pay for stainless tubing.

Yup, shouldnt be any problem. Just use normal steel rod...I use ER-70S2, but thats just me...theres alot of diff rods out there for mild steel. The aluminized coating just prevent rust...take a wire wheel or something to it, and youll be fine!
