Default Energy Suspension motor mounts...

I have a 1990 Civic Si with the stock d16a6. I already searched, but it is still not clear to me where these inserts go. There are 4 poly pieces in the kit they sent me. I believe 2 of the pieces go to the mount at the front underneath the engine and the other 2 pieces go the the mount at the rear underneath the engine. Can someone please clarify that this is correct and if there is any trick to installing these?

Thanks in advance.

Its for the passenger side mount and drivers side mount. You use two inserts on each mount.

Well, I guess I was way off base.

Are the mounts from the engine to the body or from the engine to the Tranny?

Are they up top or below the car?

Thanks for the help.

I thought th Prothane kit was for the passenger and driver side and the ES kit was for the front and back mounts.

I think you were right the first time. the inserts are meant for the rear mount (on the rear x-member) and the front mount (front x-member) these are the torque mounts. Since the engine is transverse the load goes front to back not side to side when you accelerate. If I remember correctly just unbolt the front one off and install the insert then re-install the mount.

THE REAR IS A BITCH to do. you'll need to loosen the mount but not take it off and slide each insert in place.

my advice is patience on the rear and use some lube if it didn't come with it.

I got the front one done.

Now -- is it better to attack the rear mount from the top or bottom???

Anything need to be removed to get to it???
