Default Identify this JDM header...

Okay, so this header came off a 99 spec R motor. For some reason the owner swapped to a 4-2-1 design (don't know why) and mummified it (header wrapped) it. I have no idea what brand it is, the only thing I have to go by is the FGK markings stamped on the quality flanges.

Fujitsubo maybe?

Also, does this dent look fixable? I would like to run this header, to save me from spending more $$ that I don't have

The tubing layout and short secondaries look like the new Toda header without the springs and pseudo slip joints, but the Toda is a 1 piece.

Thanks for the help...I've been looking at Fujitsubos website, and I see the same FGK logo in one of their shop pictures

SMSP:

Since you're a header guy...does that dent look fixable to you? What are my options as far as how to fix it.

Fujitsubo
Kind of hard to see but you can see the FGK Stamp on the flange from one of the pics on their Site.

My question would be how can a header get dented there? If anything, I would expect it is the 2-1 part that get dent. Is that car in a front end accident before?

But anyway, that is the Fujitsubo header.

You might get lucky with it since it is so close to the flange and you should have access to it. I'd try to find a round metal ball or some sort that would fit up into the tube (try it first in #2 tube) and then a heavier steel rod could be welded to the ball. You'd then need access to a torch with a rose bud or at least a few propane torches and some extra helping hands. Heat it up very well and then ram the ball up in there. Even if you split a weld, that can be repaired and you'll be in better shape then you are now. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies & advice

Yes the car was in a front end accident. The fan probably caused the dent.

Sorry Billy, as much as I would like to have a header in better condition, I'll probably just fix this one (cause it's cheaper) and use it for the time being.

The outlet is a snazzy 2.5" btw.

I thought "Fujitsubo" sounded familiar. Here's a link to their exhaust sounds:
