Gas filler in the door jam
i've seen this before on a crx.. i've got my stock gas door shaved and i'm debating where to put the filler. but does anyone know how safe it would be to put the gas filler cap recessed in the door jam by the latch? ive seen seen some crazy **** with people lighting their cars on fire from getting in and out of their cars while pumpin gas from the static electricity... any suggestions would be cool.
I agrea, it would smell of gasoline, the static wouldent be an issue if you are smart enough to ground yourself before getting in or out by grabing part of the frame.
yeah dude. I dont think putting it in the jam would be worth your time or your life. If you're going to hide it, do it somewhere on the exterior of the car. Try fabricating an arm for the tail light to swing out or something and hide it there. Then again you have a crx.... (or is this for another car?)
wait... Wrong forum.

so you already shaved the gas door and dont know where you are going to route the filler neck???? nice planning bud
but a few options are, behind the tailight (hinged), door jamb. behind the license plate.
