type R oil pan= it the same as 2000 civic si
hey guys help me out heremy type r oil pan is busted any body knows if one from the 2000 civic si is the same because one from an LS is not
its not the same oil pan. the b16a oil pan has less capacity and wont directly fit on your car. an LS one wont work for your motor either. what you want is a b18c or gsr pan.

unless they use a different oil pan in the newer si's compared to the jdm 92-95 ones. the reason is that the GSR and R motors have a crank girdle and require a different pick up, windage tray, and oil pan. the GSR and R oil pan also hold more oil.
the b16 pan doesnt have less capacity, but the b18c1/c5 require a different part number due to the strainer, girdle and different windage tray.
LS and B16 take 11200-P30-010
B18c1/c5 take 11200-P72-010

I have an almost new oil pan >3k miles on it. I bought a new one from my dealer and had it modified for my oil temp sender. I now have the original pan sitting in my garage. Let me know if you are interested.
