QUICK!!! REAR BREAK PAD INSTALL calipers wont compress
Help, I can't get the rear break pads to compress. I opened the lines and diconnected the parking brake line but nothing. what am i dong wrong??? Please help i need to drive this to work tomorrow
If you mean DECOMPRESS, turn your car on. it will relieve the pressure because it works off a vacuum (brake booster)
edit: if you're talking about the PISTON inside the CALIPER, either use a C clamp or a big flat headed screw driver and turn it in.

They make a special tool to do it. You put it on a 3/8" extension bar and turn and push it in. You could TRY it with a screw driver but it doesnt work quite as good. The tool costs like $10 and you can get it at autozone.

you put the screw driver in sideways. I mean you dont use the end of the screw driver you place the shaft of the screwdriver in the slot. Haha.
and I believe it is counter clockwise.

This is the part you need to turn your rear piston in: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/br....html
BUT - as others have said, you can get it cheaper at autoZone or Pep Boys or Checker Auto - etc....
