Default Integra MC / BB swap into 92 Civic Hatch problems

i believe i have an ITR MC and BB but when installing the MC i had to push and hold pretty hard until the bolts came through the holes, then only then was i able to put the nuts on.

is this normal?

i'm just wondering if the MC was supposed to slide right in with no effort onto the BB, and if it is supposed to WTF do i have?

before i go and do the whole change the fitting and reflaring business i'd like some input.

here's a pic of the MC and BB..

just bend the **** out of the line, it work, btw i think its a direct bolt on if that is a ITR MC, no need to reflair.

yeah im not too worried about the lines, i just want to make sure that the MC and the BB needed some force to put them together, rather than them sliding in effortlessly.

That does sound odd to me. Did you fully connect the BB on the other side of the firewall? I mean, did you get it hooked into place with the pedal mechanism? Mine just slid right in like an old man into a warm bath.

EDIT: You have a 99-00 Si MC.

EDIT x2: How does the pedal feel now?

i havent pressed the brakes as of yet
since there is no fluid in the system i figured there was no point in trying to press it down

so it looks like i should get a proper MC/BB combo to make things work huh?
what combo would you suggest for an ITR brake setup?

yea, and as far as the line, just bend it at the bottom, so it goes in front on the bb, and then bend it, etc.. pretty much common sense, just try to keep the bends pretty smooth, no tight radius

if the mc an bb bolted togeher then your fine. Yes they take a little persuading to get on, cause the threads of the bolts from the BB hit against the sides of the MC, just shimmy it on and tighten bolts like you did.

Rebend line and good to go.

the mc shown in the picture does not have a bigger fitting port size...

i picked up the 12mm nut that i've read i need to get with a 1" MC but when i tried to test fit it, the port sizes were too small..

so is my MC/BB combo bad? because i did struggle to put the MC onto the BB...
