Default just a quick muff question

ok aftermarket mufflers always have the hole and then a frame around it while other mufflers im guessing that come with piping is just one straight through hole but arent they all welded on the same way [in seperate pieces?]

haha

a silencer on a muffler will lower the exhaust tone a good bit but can sound raspy too

most catback comes with one and they are removeable

The first pic has a weird asz silencer... If you remove it completely it should look like the 2nd pic muffler... but what technical advice are you seeking is my question?

and the inner hole is how big? It should be about the same size as the inlet hole in the back of the muffler....

for example if the inlet is 2.5in but the tip is 4in, it will probally be 2.5in straight thru the muffler and then the tip will be 4in...

you know what i mean?

did you take off the whole silencer or just the top part of it? in other word did you take off the bolt connected to the exhaust tip or did you remove the bolt holding the silencer together?

Dude! That's the way they are! They aren't true straight pipes, there's silencer material in there, if you looked closely inside the second pic, you'd see the same crap, but it's all black from the exhaust.
