About from 3k to 3.5k parts and labor, maybe cheaper than that if you could find a good deal on tranny and other stuffs. Labor is around 1k alone.

I'm down with the guy that says smoke weed everyday.

It can cost $1500 to $4000 grand, depending on whether you or a shop is doing it, and where you get the parts.

I spent about $3600 just on parts...did it myself, so i saved on labor
and that's with new parts, except for the tranny itself.

oh ok..so 3200 or so sounds about right...cause this guy was saying that it would cost around 15 to 1600 for parts and thats from a donor prelude..and he told me from the beginning that it would be like 32 to 3500..so im like dang...1600 or more for labor..does that sound right or is he trying to jack me?... so does this sound legit...this is coming from the store black trax in milpitas california if any knows or been there..

Dude, ROFL, yes Blacktrax is legit, they've done many of these swaps. I wouldn't recommend anyone else in the area to do it.

Wow 3200 seems a bit too much for me. Id rather just trade in my prelude for another manual one.

It only cost me $580 in parts and thats everything including buying to sets of shifters. I'm gonna do the work myself after i rebuild the Tranny it only has 20,000 miles but I want to replace the syncros($250) and clutch/flywheel 12lb(300). So all together will optional stuff about $1130

prices can range... depends on how much the junkyard wants for the parts and if you want new axles, clutch, flywheel, motor mount, etc... instead of using whatever condition the ones from the junkyard come in.

you got the money, $ave it for a 5-speed base model instead of all the trouble and frustration auto-manual. Look everybody here is going to say the same thing, but one thing is that your going to doing it and forget what everyone else tells you. Just listening to your $$$$ and go with it. But personally, i convince my friend to get a new one and sell the old one. give or take a few $'ss..

well I purchased the car brand new with nine miles on it. I have babied it with AMSOIL every 3000 miles (girlfriends uncle is a distributor). I even got a remote oil filter and oil cooler along with a trans cooler for that crappy SS. Since i'm the only owner I know exactly how well the car has been treated and don't have to worry about how well a USED car has been maintained.

Unless you can get your hands on a crashed 5spd for dirt cheap.. skip it, sell your AT and buy a MT, it's just not worth it to buy ALL the conversion pieces..
