Default that stuff that you wrap around intake?

buddy of mines is about to go to the track, he has a mini me on a hatch and a AEM SRI, and he wants to know where can he get that tape or whatever that you wrap around the intake to make the air cooler or something. he seen it on some pics but dont know what is it and where can he get it.

oh yea if its on, can he leave it on his car for years or its just for a day at the track? if its good i might get it too

Maybe he's referring to header wrap, for his intake. If he were to use it, he could leave it on the intake, wouldn't have to take it off after the track.

I thnk he is talking about the tape with a metal on the surface of it. I think u can get that at a store that sells home and commercial A/C products

you don't have to use header wrap on a intake. Header wrap keeps the heat in, not sure how well it reflects heat.

Thermo-tec sells heat reflective wrap for the intake specifically (part number #14500)

Just go to jegs or summitracing and put the part number 14500.

home depot.. thats wear I got mines.. it has the sticky foam and metal thing onda outside.. its used for pipes to keep them cool...
