Default b18c1 into 1992 civic VX exhaust question

i have a 92 VX and plan to drop a GS-R into it. i was looking over the engine bay when i realised that the cat is actually sitting directly below (and actually bolted onto) the exhaust manifold. i was wondering, how am i going to make the exhaust manifold on the B18C1 mate with a catalitic converter? or even what kind of exhaust im going to have to run, since my cat is gona be completely removed?

im lost.

thanks but no thanks.

do NOT take the "noob" sign for granted, i have already red the FAQ's anbd ****, i have also searched showing no relevant info. the swap faq (the first one, the one u linked) does not contain ANY info on exhausts AT ALL and the link that is in that post, does NOT either...in fact...have you red the post yourself?

tired of having people "send me on my way" just because they cee the noob sign.

sorry to have offended you. im just tired of sporting this damn "noob" sign and sinde there was nothing even close to what i needed in the post (because i had already looked at it) i was assuming you wer juss trying to shut me up due to a post squashed more times then "frogger".

even if i (now) know i need a gs-r cat, how is that going to link up with the rest of my exhaust system? won't that make it too long at stick out the back? will i also need the gs-r downpipe? will the exhaust diameters match? is there a pre-fabbed OEM or after-market exhaust that i will be able to use? will i still be able to retain a cat? a resonater?

(3:13 AM 7/19/2005) pydwy213: use the exhaust manifold that cam with the new motor, or if it didnt have one , you'll need one. that will directly bolt up to the gsr cat...which will be needed to be bolted up to an after-market exhaust. the vx exhaust however could be adapted to fit the flange on the gsr cat, it would not be healthy for the motor.. ( think about it, it'd be almost choking the motor out of its exhaust )...and aftermarket brand will do, dont have to be expensive...and the piping will bolt to the cat...
any questions at all, pm me good luck

(3:14 AM 7/19/2005) pydwy213: edit: vx exhaust is extremely small***

dropped in a gsr in a 92 vx. you're going to have to have the exhaust redone. i just ended up getting a gsr cat, and custom 2.25 piping to magnaflow oval muffler. even if you some how get connected to the stock exhaust, your car will run like crap in vtec. piping too small, and will not run right. just take it to a muffler shop
