Default Exhaust Diameter

Im working on a new project car and i plan on putting on a turbo later, but not for at least a year

so should i go ahead and put the 1/2inch diameter for the turbo when i do the header/exhaust, or will this have some sort of negative effects

Using 2.5" piping will be fine. But we really don't care about the turbo part since this is the all-motor forum. Anyway yes, NA cars do great with 2.5" exhaust with a little power.
