I just finished taking out all the a/c componets and since i planned on removing the power steering one day i decided to do it now since it's like 90% out.Im just not sur what to do with the main line. The one that goes behind the motor and then to the rack. Can i just remove this line and let the fluid drain out or is ther somthing special i have to do to it.
Thanks for the help 92 GSR

you can remove the line and clean up the mess, but then AT LEAST loop the two lines on the rack to keep it sealed. Better to use a loop and a reservoir to keep the rack lubed.
Actually you can just let all the fluid run out and then find a bolt to put back in the place of the p.s. line to keep out dust and debris. I was unsure of the same "fluid" issue a year ago when I built my GS-R and after talking to ALOT of people I found there was no problem letting all the fluid out and in fact it made steering a little easier (all though not much) and I have not had a problem since I did it last Jan '04 and I have done plenty of road and drag racing with on top of 30k miles driven. So just drain it, plug it and go!
