perhaps some help?
hey everyone...how's it going?
just curious if i could get a little help figuring out what's wrong with my car.

it was running sort of funny for a week or so. just ideling lower than it should(around 4-600 RPMs)
then i was stuck in traffic(at a complete stop) and it(the rpms) just started dropping until the car shut off. it wont start now.
after some looking around in the engine bay today i discovered it is getting adaquette fuel supply. then i checked the #1(far right) spark plug wire...no spark.
can anyone help me from here? it would be most appreciated.

i'm pretty damn broke as is...
i was wondering if there was more i could check so i could just solve the problem cost free(until i narrow it down to one bad part) rather then buying parts that don't need replacing.
thank you, by the way.

you should check your ignition system to make sure if your fuel is being ignited properly or your fuel pump. this sould be secondary problems . Your intake manifold should have a black cylinder bolted right behind it where the intake and manifold meets usually this leads to the problem and you have to replace it but you can only tell if you get a diagnostic check.
I believe it was called th IDLE CONTROLL VALVE.
I believe it was called th IDLE CONTROLL VALVE.
The idle control valve is a simple device that you can control yourself to get different idle levels. However I know that when someone worked on my car a year ago and was inexperienced with the procedure, My car went from having a low idle to full out dying, if I didn't apply any throttle. What I'm saying is that you should have someone check it out if you are inexperienced in that area. Do not take it to a dealership. They will want more than the value of the car itself, just to look at the damn thing.
EG6 is pretty much right about getting it chacked out by a professional and i dont mean the dealer Its best to have it pin pointed instead of moving things around youll never find the problem that way.
