Not sure if this is the right place but i have a really weird sticker question
Ok, i'm going to try you guys since nothing else has worked:
Basically, i got a CRX that had a shitload of sponsor stickers on it. This is what it looked like:

I took all of the stickers off so i wouldn't attract any unwanted attention and found a whole bunch of sticky, gunky, dirty, residue under a few of the stickers. I unfortunately also found a 1.5" by 1" hunk of rust under another
. Either way i need to get this **** off! It looks terrible. I have tried using a razor to peel it off, scrubbing hard, some alcohol, windex, EVERYTHING and it still wont budge! It looks terrible. I need help.
What do you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance!

Gunk? Gas will def. do it. or if none of the above you may do your whole car with a clay bar then wax it.
heat it up with a blow dryer if your'e doing it at home.
Keep the dryer a save distance, You shouldnt have to leave it on long.
once it gets warm you can move the decals around... Blow dryer gets hot, so make sure you are VERY careful with it. then after that, you can clean it up with WD40 or gasoline or solvents that are paint/clearcoat/plastic -Safe.
If that doesnt work, what we use at the bodyshop is the 3M rubber eraser. Hook it up to a power drill, and scrub the **** out of it. It gets hot as it rubs on to the car, so make sure you stay on and off of it. This is a lot more work, but will get off the stubbor decals. At last, clean up adhesive residue with above stated solvents.
Good luck.

Off topic question... you arent planning on driving that car on the street with the cage and Kirky seat in it still?
go to wal-mart in the automotive section buy this stuff called prep-all it has a teal/blue label its under $4.00 for a quart , it does not harm the paint even though it smells like lighter fluid, my bodyshop guy reccomended it but if you go to a bodyshop they sell the same stuff for $15.00 a quart
it even got 1yr old duct tape residue off in under a minute

Thanks for all of the replies, i'm going to try WD-40 and gasoline first since i have access to them now. If those dont work i will pick up the Prep-All and then the other stuff if that doesn't help.
The decals are all off, the only thing that remains is some of the built up gunk and stuff that was used as the adhesive on the decal.
Thanks again!
and to Markos: Yes, it's my daily driver for the time being. I dont drive far so it is fine for now. It's extremely unpractical but doesn't stand out too much with the other honda's here (which is kind of pathetic).

[b]Goo Gone[b/]
Squirt it on, leave it for 30seconds or so, and then "shovel" it up w/ a credit card/wipe it off w/ a paper towel (the "shoveling" tends to be cleaner).
Stuff works like nothing else, and no odors, no corrosive and nasty stuff like the others

I've always used this or peanut butter to remove stickers from anything painted and its worked so far. Never used it on a car though because I've never had stickers on any of my cars.

Track cars should stay on the track.
And you're crazy if you think a CRX with a roll bar and kirky seat don't stand out.

goo gone will take it all off.
the adhesive on those stickers are not very strong... I've taken off full vynal kits people buy and put on there cars for some crazy reason with just goo gone...including my car...dam previous owner.

Bah, he'll be fine as long as there is no overhead hoop to hit his head on.

use some goo gone or WD40, preferably the former. you should wash the car and wax it nicely after you are done removing all the goo.
my CF hood had some really hard dried up brown goo on it from the packing tape. it seemed like it was not going to come off without damaging the finish. but the goo gone took it right off like it was nothing.
